Team – Tony Krol

Solid Motive Media was created from the idea of a collaborative environment where the people working on each project received direct credit for its success.

A better environment of creatives, is better for the client.
Many individuals that run the creative firms, advertising agencies, and production studios around the world think that it doesn't matter to the client what goes on behind the closed doors. As long as the client receives what they asked for at the time they were told it should be delivered. In many cases this is true, the client doesn't care. That is because they don't know how all of these little details effect the outcome of their project. However, if they knew that their project contained a lot of un-needed marked up cost, and the people working on their project actually didn't care about it, then they would care about the environment that their project was created in. All of these negatives lead to a project that simply could have been better.

Cost in-effective.
There are creative firms that are charging say, $100,000 for an animation that they paid someone right out of college $20 dollars an hour (or much less) for 2 days to create. There are countless extremely talented people scraping by every year in creative services, while the finger pointers have their mortgages paid in two weeks off of the work they didn't really do. I believe this kind of markup is absurd.

Cost effective.
If it was efficient for clients to cut out the middle markup by just going to an intelligent person who could do the work needed, and manage the project - the client could cut out half of their costs. I've also worked on jobs in the past, for other agencies as a freelancer - where there have been layers of contracting, because someone sold something to a client that they had no, or very little knowledge of, but they thought could "outsource". By outsource, I mean tell someone else to fully create the entire project, but never have contact with the client. I don't believe that is ethical sub-contracting, that is ripping off your client.

In other industries if someone sells something they have no, or very little knowledge of, that is fraud or malpractice, both of which are punishable by prison. Instead in many creative studios, clients pay a lot of money to not talk to the people actually working on their stuff, or to have someone hand off the duty and take a huge cut, rather than just give the client a referral to the person that can actually do the work.
The result is a final product that simply isn't as good as it could be, and a frustrating process for those involved.

Better solutions at a better price.
Solid Motive Media gives clients an opportunity to really get something good, and not have to pay a ridiculous fortune in marked up costs to have 6 unneeded hands in the job. We build the team around each project, and ensure each project produces a specific, desired result.

The best creative studios in the world were built and managed by individuals who had their hands in the technical aspects of the work.

My goal with Solid Motive is to collaborate on media solutions that are unique, engaging, and inspiring. To produce amazing results at a lower cost, by cutting out unneeded markup and simplifying the process. - TK
